The Romanian slow fashion brand Ami Amalia showcased the versatility of knitwear on the runway using a wide range of different production techniques. The beauty and diversity of textures were even more evident because the entire collection was created in a single color.
With cuts, details, and stylizations, designer Amalia Săftoiu revived the spirit of the 1960s through her fashion narrative, while the color red—presented in seven different shades—further enhanced the overall styling impact.
Luxurious knitwear, made from seven types of natural yarns—such as silk, cashmere, mohair, and merino wool—produced in a Romanian knitting factory in Oradea, composed the entire collection. From sixties-style suits and coats to scarves and hats worn as matching sets, every piece exuded vintage charm.
Beyond reminding us of the magic of 1960s style, the Autumn/Winter 2025/26 collection also serves as excellent inspiration for how to wear red from head to toe and how knitwear doesn’t have to be just a single item in our outfits. Now, all we need are knee-high socks and a great pair of Mary Jane shoes!
