This autumn we invite talented stylists to give us their best recommendations for styling knitwear and elevate these pieces into fashion statement looks.
We invited her to choose three AmiAmalia items she recommends for the wardrobe of the season, and share how would she style them as well.
1. “Chess Moves” Sweater
If Amalia was a sweater, she´d be this one.
Arriving in a classic cut this sweater is not only a perfect survivor must-have but also the perfect statement-making piece. Definitely a vogue-ish knitwear, which ideally can suit your day to night looks.
For a feminine look pair yours with a long skirt and a stretch over-the-knee boots.
On the other hand if you want a timeless chic, layer an oversized version over a turtleneck and match it with a pair of white palazzo trousers and your favourite loafers.
Also you can play with it by adding some striped bottoms and colored shoes.
The thing about all the clothing pieces that come with a statement is that when it comes to the styling the key is balance.
2. Short Cape
Capes were worn throughout millennia by cultures across the globe. However, modern caped have been updated by fashion forward brands and designers elevating your wardrobe while keeping you warm and comfy. So dare to wear this ultra stylish trend, it is a versatile garment and also it´s easy to integrate into your looks. Let´s face it, who could resist a bright poppy red take on the cape?
A classic white blouse, a knitted jumper or a turtleneck are a great bet as pieces to wear under your cape.
The combo of a flowy white shirt with leather pants and boots looks spectacular with a sleeveless cape.
Take the royals favorite way to wear a formal look and give it a go instead of your usual blazer.
Don´t overdo it, though; capes are striking style elements so it´s best to let it stand out
3. Tank Top
Knitwear has been a key wardrobe component thanks to a soft and casual wearability. Worn alone or layered under, this simplified sleeveless knit top is a staple in any woman´s closet.
When it comes to styling I would say that monochrome dressing is an easy way to elevate simple basics. Tuck it into a pair of high waist pants with more structure or tailoring, add a button down shirt over it to keep things polished.
But of course, the styling options are endless. So, wear yours under a jacket or cardigan for season-long style and warmth.
