Before deciding to start #AmiAmalia I was looking for a #transformersweater, couldn’t find one, and then I drew up Eliza. I call it Eliza, as Eliza from “The Wild Swans” is, for me, the most magical and beloved knitter, a symbol of sacrifice, dedication, siblings love, and in more contemporary terms, a woman trying to complete a mission in a patriarchal society and manage not to be burned as a witch ? Is also a reference to the sleeveless sweater she manages to complete for her youngest brother.
Eliza comes with a dozen of our Italian peony buttons.
